F/A18 Rigging Project

iWeiss is excited about our partnership with Century Aviation on the restoration of a United States Marine Corps F-18 fighter jet that responded to 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Check out this video on the removal of that aircraft from the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.  Century Aviation will complete the restoration in Wenatchee, Washington, followed by the design to support the re-installation of the jet.  See if you can iSpy iWeiss and our project manager Russ Dusek.

The Calamari Sisters

The Calamari Sisters have been singing and cooking on tour since 2008 and we’re proud to have been part of the various series installments.   While the pictures below show the “Baby Shower” Austrian built two years ago, we are already fabricating a new 50’w x 25’h Austrian and matching traveler panels for the “Italian Wedding” installment beginning February 20 in Philadelphia, PA.   See if they’re touring to a venue near you!

Theatrical Solution Needed

Payson_Chiasm_installation_2014.When artist Meg Brown Payson sent an email to our info box, our Vice President Jennifer Tankleff, jumped on the chance to work with her.  The inquiry was for exhibition work that would translate her paintings to much larger textiles. Possibly a tapestry and/or a rug.

The initial images were stunning and we quickly went to work, starting with samples of various fabrics, then printing her artwork for color matching, to the final product for her new exhibition Chiasm: New Work by Meg Brown Payson in the McCoy Gallery at Merrimack College, North Andover Massachusetts.

Once again proving that art can be a collaborative effort – a theatrical solution in the making!
